Horse & nature photography
01 / Selected work

Stories shaped by
nature, light & movement.

I photograph horses, nature and the quiet details in between — from close portraits and movement to changing weather, wildlife and country life. The goal is always to keep the moment natural and let the subject tell the story.

Emil Baltzer
Johnsby

I’m Emil, a 19-year-old photographer and the person behind photo_by_johnsby. My photography is mainly focused on horses and nature — two things that are a big part of my own life.

I have my own horse, so I know how much personality, trust and small moments matter. When I photograph horses, I try to capture more than just how they look. I want the photographs to show their character and the connection they have with the people around them.

I’m especially drawn to natural light, open landscapes, movement and the details that can easily be missed — an eye, a quiet moment in the field, changing weather or the last light of the day.
